The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) represents the highest level of competition in American youth soccer. Each year, approximately 130 clubs compete in ECNL Girls and 150 clubs compete in ECNL Boys across the U13–U18/19 age groups. The platform is built to provide elite players with the most competitive environment, national exposure, and long-term development standards in the country.

Beneath the top tier sits the ECNL Regional League (ECNL RL) — the second level of competition within the ECNL structure. The ECNL RL includes approximately 300 clubs in ECNL RL Girls and 400 clubs in ECNL RL Boys, competing in the U13–U18/19 age groups. This level provides high-level regional competition while maintaining alignment with ECNL standards and pathways.
For younger players, Pre-ECNL serves as a developmental platform for boys and girls in the U12 and younger age groups. Pre-ECNL focuses on building strong technical foundations, tactical understanding, and competitive habits — preparing players for advancement into ECNL RL and ECNL competition as they progress.

Together, ECNL, ECNL RL, and Pre-ECNL create a complete player pathway from foundational development to elite national competition.

ECNL-RL Boys - Playmaker Futbol Academy
The ECNL-RL Boys platform reflects the highest standards of elite regional competition and player development in the United States. Designed to bridge the gap between local competition and national exposure, ECNL-RL provides a structured, competitive environment that accelerates long-term growth.

At Playmaker Futbol Academy, we embrace that responsibility. Our mission is to develop intelligent, confident, and complete players — athletes who understand the game, compete with intensity, and carry themselves as leaders on and off the field.

PROGRAM PERFORMANCE

Elite development requires elite preparation. Playmaker integrates strength and conditioning, recovery education, mobility work, and injury prevention into our weekly structure.
We believe performance training is not an add-on — it is part of the complete player model.

At Playmaker, we are building more than competitive teams.

  • We are building thinkers of the game.

  • We are building competitors.

  • We are building future leaders.

PLAYER PATHWAYS

Playmaker provides a clear and intentional pathway for boys at every stage of development. From Pre-ECNL foundations to ECNL-RL competition and beyond, our structure is designed to progressively challenge players while staying true to our playing identity and core principles.

Our focus is not simply exposure - it is preparation.

  • Preparation to compete.

  • Preparation to adapt.

  • Preparation to lead.

Our ECNL-RL teams compete at high regional levels against top opposition, creating meaningful matches that demand discipline, tactical understanding, and resilience.

Competition within our program is purposeful. It builds decision-makers under pressure and prepares players for collegiate, professional, and higher-level opportunities. Winning matters - but development under pressure matters more.
