PLAYMAKER RESIDENCY 2023-24

Admittance into the Residency Program is competitive as well as limited in number of those players accepted.  This number is currently under evaluation based on the unexpectedly high response rate, but one we are certainly excited about!

  • The acceptance process will be evaluated by the entire Playmaker Academy Coaching Staff.

  • The student-athlete must be an active member of Playmaker Academy.  While we want to work with as many children as possible, we need to prioritize those committed to our program.

  • Hours are likely to remain 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • We will likely follow the Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) calendar with respect to holidays, planned days off, and vacation breaks

  • Academics will be lead by certified educators with a planned ratio of students to educator at no more than 15:1

  • Training will be led by Playmaker Academy coaches.  Training embodies Playmaker Academy’s holistic approach to development.  Beyond the technical, players review game film, evaluate their own play, work towards becoming high-level/critical thinkers and decision makers, review and study high-level matches and aspects of play, participate in exchange/cross training by other high level clubs and coaches through shared sessions and travel-based field trips.
